Fridge and leftover photos

When you allow it, leftover photos, plated-meal photos, and typed meal descriptions are sent to our estimator (xAI Grok) so we can identify food and estimate protein, carbs, fat, and kcal. We do not keep the photo after the estimate — only a short-lived hash so the same photo is not billed twice. We do not use those photos or descriptions for ads. Empty or unreadable photos are not stored as a meal.

On-device profile

Your profile, meal log, and workouts stay on this device in local storage. We do not require an account to use leftover-nearby. Clearing the local session on You removes that data from this device.

Location for nearby

Location is used at the moment you open or refresh Nearby: we send that lat/lng through our server to Google Places to list restaurants around you, then rank them by your food likes, distance, and leftover fit. If you decline location, we do not guess a city. Nearby orders stay free.

Estimates, not medical advice

Protein, carbs, fat, and calories are estimates (4×P + 4×C + 9×F). MacroRun is not medical advice, diagnosis, or a dietitian.

Free scans and Plus

Free includes leftover-nearby. Scan Food and Fridge photo scans share one pool of three successful reads per device per 7 days. Plus is 50 successful photo scans per 30 days. Diary, USDA search, Train, How-to, and Nearby stay free. On iOS, payment is charged to your Apple ID through the App Store and auto-renews until you cancel in Apple ID Settings → Subscriptions. On Android, payment is charged through Google Play Billing and auto-renews until you cancel in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions (or Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions). Prices are shown in the store before you buy.

Third-party How-to sites

If you tap How-to, your device may open MuscleWiki, ExRx, or another allowlisted demo site. That visit is between you and that site under their privacy policy. MacroRun does not receive the page content from that visit.
